Oakland University is a Division I program committed to academics and athletic excellence. Our Athletic Department is looking for a highly organized, driven and detail oriented individual to fill the position of Merchandise & Concessions Event Coordinator. This position will manage all aspects of event related concessions, as well as merchandise for retail, staff, team and other related areas. Additionally, this position will serve as an event coordinator for select rental events and varsity sport competitions on a seasonal basis. This position reports to the Assistant Athletic Director of Facility & Event Management. The ideal candidate should exhibit outstanding organizational and customer service skills as they will be interacting with the general public and athletics staff on a regular basis. This person must have a proven track record for prioritizing and completing tasks on a timely basis and must have the ability to operate in a fast-paced environment with a strong attention to detail.

- Bachelor's Degree or an equivalent combination of education and/or experience.
- One year of progressive work experience in event and/or retail operations preferably in intercollegiate athletics.
- Working knowledge of inventory and financial management relative to food and/or merchandising.
- Strong organizational skills and a proven track record prioritizing work and event deadlines.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite is required.
- Must perform all job duties in a manner consistent with the NCAA, Conference and University rules, regulations, ordinances, policies, procedures and guidelines.
- Some nights, weekends or holidays are required.
- Must possess a valid driver's license and a driving record acceptable to the University's insurance carrier.
