Specific duties include: coordinating and monitoring the academic success of assigned teams, including weekly meetings with student-athletes, coordinating academic reports and communicating with faculty and coaches; assisting with initial and continuing eligibility; teaching a freshmen introduction to the university course, PHED 202 (fall only); compiling end of semester grade reports for ACSA; overseeing the tutoring program, including the hiring, training, scheduling and supervision of student tutors; overseeing coordination of PAAC Learning Support Program, which provides intensive, essential learning strategies for underprepared student-athletes in a highly competitive academic setting by providing proactive, early, sustained, individualized support to enhance student success; assisting with the recruitment of new student-athletes and new student-athlete orientation; and performing other duties as assigned.

Required Minimum Qualifications: Bachelor's Degree, preferably in Counseling, Education, Special Education, Curriculum and Instruction, Sports Psychology or another sport-related field One year experience providing individual tutoring support, study skills assistance, time management strategies or other learning support instruction to high school or college students, with specific emphasis on working with student-athletes in an academic setting Excellent communication and organizational skills Experience working with students from diverse backgrounds

Preferred Qualifications:  Master's Degree Two or more years of professional experience working with student-athletes as a learning specialist, or in an academic advising, teaching or counseling role, preferably at a Division I level N4A membership, understanding of NCAA/AEC rules and regulations and experience with PeopleSoft and Retain desired Tutoring, Teaching, Collegiate Student-Athletes also highly sought after Special Instructions to Applicants: Upload a cover letter, resume and contact information for three professional references.
