Gettysburg College is seeking an Assistant Volleyball Coach to work in the Athletics Department. The position will be responsible for assisting the Head Volleyball Coach in the areas of coaching, recruiting, academic oversight, practice planning, game planning, field maintenance, alumni engagement, as well as video and computer technology. The position may also serve as the team’s Strength and Conditioning coach. Equipment organization, game operations and/or other duties may be assigned by the Executive Director of Intercollegiate Athletics as needed. The College seeks candidates who have the communication skills and cross-cultural ability to maximize their effectiveness with diverse groups of students, colleagues, and community members.

The Assistant Volleyball Coach is a twelve (12) month, full-time, administrative appointment reporting to the Head Volleyball Coach. Salary is commensurate with experience and complemented by an excellent benefits package.

Qualifications:  The successful candidate will have:
•    earned a bachelor’s degree; a master’s degree is preferred
•    one to three years of successful collegiate coaching experience, preferably NCAA Division III
•    proven abilities in organizational and instructional aspects of coaching volleyball
•    demonstrated the ability to recruit and retain student-athletes in the environment of an academically demanding liberal arts institution, with ability to abide by all NCAA Division III, Centennial Conference and institutional policies
•    proficiency with technology applications applicable to the position
