The Bradley University Athletics Department is now accepting applications for the position of Assistant AD for Finance/Business Operations.

Purpose of Position: To serve and represent the Athletic Director managing the day-to-day business operations of the athletics department. This position reports directly to the Senior Associate Athletics Director.
Responsibilities: •Provides administrative leadership and guidance to various departments within the University as they relate to athletics. •Assist with budget forecasting and management plans as directed by the Senior Associate Athletics Director. •Analyzes and recommends necessary changes to departmental policies and procedures including recommendations to increase overall effectiveness of business, finance, facilities, event management. •Serve as a secondary liaison to the Controller. •Manage all departmental internal accounting. oEnsure that all travel and recruiting expenditures comply with NCAA legislative requirements. oEnsure that all department expenditures comply with University policies and regulations. oAssist with NCAA Fiscal Reporting and Agreed Upon Procedures. •Approve and allocate department expenses and revenues. oFacilitate payment to vendors, (i.e. review bills and statements, and assign appropriate accounts to be charged, submit for approval). oCoordinate and audit all revenues and deposits including on-line platforms. oFinal review and allocation of monthly bank card statements. oProcess monthly expense credit, recruiting, and travel summaries for approval and payment. oPrepare cash advance requests and reconcile accordingly. oInternal transfers. •NCAA and conference related responsibilities. oNCAA annual reporting (e.g., Sports sponsorship and demographics, revenue distribution, academic enhancement, student-athletes fund) oEADA financial reporting. oAnnual conference financial reports. oTournament and post-season bidding. •Assist the Senior Associate Athletics Director with contractual matters including review and approval of: oGame contract and guarantees. oMulti-year purchasing and rental agreements. oAthletic insurance contracts. oMulti-year maintenance agreements. oCoach employment contracts. •Approve and audit hourly payroll for student help, classified/hourly and part-time workers (e.g., Braves Vision, Ticket Office, study hall monitors, and marketing student workers). •Supervise and delegate responsibilities of Equipment Manager. •Assist with the day-to-day supervision of the Director of Ticket Operations. •Provide data analytic (financial and other) support for Bradley Athletics •Create and develop reports and dashboards to support the day-to day needs of Bradley Athletics •Interpret data, analyze results using statistical techniques and provide ongoing reports and dashboards •Serve on Department, University, Conference and NCAA committees as assigned. •Serve as event/site coordinator at athletics events. •Other duties as assigned by the Senior Associate Athletics Director or Vice President for Intercollegiate Athletics.
A Bachelor’s degree is required, with a major in business or accounting preferred; the successful candidate must also be willing to uphold the mission and values of Bradley Athletics and adhere to all NCAA, Missouri Valley Conference and University rules and policies.
