As part of the Endpoint Management division of the Workplace Technology Services team under the Campus centralized IT Services department, this position will use past systems administration knowledge and experience to primarily support the Campus Athletics department with Fan Experience, but will also support the various service offerings used by the Workstation Lifecycle team; SCCM, Druva, Anti-virus, JAMF PRO, InTune, Event Management System, LogMeIn Rescue and others. As needed, serve as Tier 3 support for Windows/Apple Operating Systems, Monitors, Desktop/Laptops and more for the Field Support team.
Be a part of the team supporting UC San Diego’s up and coming Division 1 Campus Athletics program. Support the technology used to broadcast the games over ESPN and other technologies that take the fan experience to the next level! This position is a key technical contributor to the video production team responsible for the broadcasts in the video production room during each game. Requirements of the role include supporting fan experience systems & software, supporting network connections between systems & campus network and working with video production team and IT Services on the research/implementation of new services that continue to evolve the experience for both in stadium crowds and viewers at home. This includes assisting with Athletic games setup and tear down of events, keeping all systems up to date/secure, providing backup support for multiple Endpoint management systems, use Active Directory (as it applies to on/off boarding), procurement of IT workstation assets and service as 3rd tier for the Field support team.
Responsibilities:
Demonstrate industry and collegiate athletics technology acumen and client-facing skills to provide UC San Diego Athletics technologysolutions that advance towards their mission. As an IT Services Athletics team member, this position requires an understanding of multiple technologies and business areas to provide state-of-the-art technology services in a fast changing complex industry. This position is responsible for setup, maintenance, and implementation of all ESPN BroadcastEquipment, and Transmission. This position also supports SCCM, BigFix, Druva, Anti-virus, JAMF PRO, InTune, and others. As needed, serve as Tier 3 support for Windows/Apple Operating Systems, Monitors, Desktop/Laptops and more for the Field Support team. Employee must be available to work evenings and weekends. Employee must be able to work non-standard hours as Athletic events are often scheduled during the evenings and weekends. Employee must be available to travel as required.
QUALIFICATIONS Bachelor's degree in related area and / or equivalent experience / training.

Knowledge and experience with Collegiate level sports from a technology perspective. (ESPN video Engineering, Ross Broadcast, Daktronics).
Self-motivated and works independently and as part of a team. Demonstrates problem-solving skills. Able to learneffectively and meet deadlines.
Thorough knowledge and experience with troubleshooting at the various networking layers. To include standardbroadcast equipment and networking in accordance with ESPN and NCAA Division I standards.
Knowledge of the design, development and application of technology and systems to meet business needs. As itapplies to gathering requirements from the Athletics department and relaying those needs to application vendor orvice versa, as needed.
General knowledge of other areas of IT. Thorough understanding of and experience with systems-related issues and actions that can be taken to improve or correct performance. Experience troubleshooting vendor provided systems and networks (WAN/VLAN/Routers, etc).
Preferred Qualifications:
