Responsibilities for this position include, but are not limited to:

• Assists head coach in organizing, preparing, and conducting individual and team practices, training, and competition. Assist with home meet organization, management, set up and administration.

• Assists in the identification and recruitment of potential student-athletes for the track program, in accordance with Horizon League and NCAA rules, regulations, guidelines, and standards. Research and provide a database for prospective student-athletes contacts.

• Assistance in the coordination and administration of the overall program, as required. Performs miscellaneous job-related duties as assigned. Coordinates team travel arrangements and other duties assigned by the head coach

Qualifications: A bachelor’s degree is required. The selectees must enroll as a graduate student seeking a master’s degree in any academic major Purdue Fort Wayne has in its graduate offerings. Prior experience as a collegiate coach or athlete is preferred. All event specialties are welcome to apply. The ability to communicate effectively through oral, written and electronic forms with recruits, current team members and coaches is essential. We are seeking highly motivated individuals who are interested in pursuing a coaching career.
