The Graduate Assistant Women's Lacrosse Coach will be responsible for assisting the Head Coach in all aspects of the women's lacrosse program. Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

Coaching

- Assist Head Coach with practice and game planning and execution

- Attend all practices, games, meetings, and team events

- Understanding of systems of play, technical and tactical aspects of lacrosse, and game management

- Lead drills and training sessions either alongside Head Coach, or on your own

Recruiting

- Identify potential recruits at high school/club games and tournaments - Attend weekend tournaments (Fall/Summer) at both regional and national scale - Initiate contact with recruits via email and phone conversations

- Assist Head Coach with on campus recruiting visits

- Communicate with the DeSales admissions department on prospective students

Team Operations

- Coordinate and structure social media projects to promote the program

- Prepare and administer newsletters, flyers, and clinic information to share with recruits

- Assist Head Coach in projects and day-to-day team operations

Performance and Physical Analysis

- Put together scouting and post-game film breakdowns. Upload to film software.

- Be able to prepare detailed film breakdowns & run scouting sessions.

- Upload and assess post-practice and post-game film for scouting/league exchange.

Fundraising

- Assist Head Coach in all aspects of organizing and implementing fundraising events.

- Attend and work all fundraising events

Mentoring

- Provide individual academic and athletic feedback and guidance to student- athletes

Other Department Responsibilities

- Graduate Assistants may be required to work athletic events or assist in other department duties when asked

• Bachelor’s degree required; admission to one of the DeSales University’s graduate programs
• Prior playing or coaching experience at the collegiate level preferred; successful high school or club coaching experience considered
• Strong communication, organizational, and leadership skills
• Commitment to developing positive relationships with student-athletes, coaches, administration, and DeSales community
• Proficiency with both Windows and Mac Operating Systems
• Goalkeeper experience, as player or coach, preferred but not required
• Align with the Missions, Values, and goals of DeSales University and the Women’s Lacrosse Program
