USCAA

The Assistant Athletic Trainer position works independently carrying out the duties with the specific sports they are assigned. This includes the athletic training duties of treatment, rehabilitation of student athletes in 14 NCAA sponsored sports and our competitive cheer squads. This position is responsible for post-surgery procedures and rehabilitation of the student athletes. Additional responsibilities includes working with medical coverage of all sports; setting up diagnostic tests and doctor appointments; administering of NCAA and in-house drug testing; inventory of equipment and supplies; administering of pre-participation physicals for 300+ student athletes; inputting and updating of medical records into the computer system.

  Educational Requirements

  Bachelor's degree from an accredited institution

   

  Other Required Qualifications

  NATABOC Certification, Possess or eligibility to obtain and maintain a Georgia state licensure within 30 days of hire

  Current, valid, and unrestricted Georgia driver's license or ability to acquire. Able to work outside in any condition for long periods of time and lift approximately 50lbs.

  Required Experience

  Must have good communication skills, leadership abilities and qualities, computer skills, and knowledge of the athletic training profession.
