Fundraising Lead

Formulate and execute short-term and long-term strategic plans to include specific and measurable targets with defined fundraising goals, prospect management, personal contacts, stewardship activities and solicitations.

Ensure best practices in donor stewardship. Personally visit with prospective donors. Create and manage donor relationships and provide timely follow up. This includes individual and organizational donor recognition and stewardship as well as the coordination and oversight of all scholarship endowments and awards. Represent Athletics and CSUSB in the community by attending events, participating in local organizations, and serving on community-based boards.

Sponsorships

Direct strategic philanthropic and corporate sponsorship program designed to increase revenue, visibility and support for student-athletes and Athletics. This includes but is not limited to creating sponsorship proposals, soliciting potential sponsors, and coordinating the fulfillment and activation of sponsorship benefits. Including in-kind gifts used to support sport teams and the Athletics in general.

Fundraising Events

Provide planning, management and oversight of Athletics annual fundraising events: Homecoming Blue & Black Celebration of Student Athletes and Dave Stockton Coyote Classic Golf Tournament. Engage campus and community partners to support event fulfillment.

Collaboration

Establish and maintain effective working relationships within University Advancement and CSUSB to maintain a strong stewardship strategy for portfolio donors and to ensure fundraising activities are coordinated with the University's efforts. Work with University Advancement to ensure accurate gift processing and receipting by maintaining up to date contact reports.

Collaborate with University colleagues to market Athletics through publications and donor recognition activities. Ensure all fundraising materials, communications and events adhere to the campus-wide and division brand standards.

• A bachelor's degree from an accredited university
• Three years or more of experience securing grant and/or sponsorship support from foundation and corporate funders preferably at the six-figure level
• Three years or more of progressively responsible and successful major gifts, sales, or fund-raising experience, including program planning and personal solicitation preferably within intercollegiate athletics
• A valid California driver's license and a private automobile with insurance
