The assistant athletic trainer will provide sports medicine coverage as directed and support all aspects of the athletic training room. The assistant athletic trainer will assist in the administration of the sports medicine program under the direction of the athletic trainer. Additional job responsibilities will include; athletic training coverage as needed and assigned by the Athletic Trainer and approved by the Director of Rehab and Athletic Medicine for the outreach programs. As a support mechanism of the athletic training room, this individual will help reduce the student-athlete to athletic trainer ratio in order to maintain a high level of care. Education: Bachelor’s Degree in Athletic Training, the program must be accredited by the Commission on Accreditation of Allied Health
