Duties/essential functions may include, but not be limited to, the following:
Provide leadership for the golf program; utilize coaching and teaching methods to develop student-athletes' skills and teamwork.
Development of team strategies; analyze performance of student athletes and teaches student-athletes to adjust golf swing and strategies as needed.
Develop, review, and reconcile operational budgets for the golf program.
Assist and coordinate fund raising activities to subsidize athletic program; coordinates with Kent State University Foundation regarding scholarship endowments.
Recruitment of exceptional student-athlete’s, both academically and athletically.
Plan and coordinate team competition and practice schedules.
Counsel and advise student-athletes.
Perform marketing and public relations activities to promote the program.
Assist in managing golf training and learning facility.
Perform related duties as assigned.
Bachelor's degree. Four years of a combination of Division I golf coaching experience and professional playing experience.
