University of St. Francis in Joliet, IL welcomes candidates for the position of men’s soccer graduate assistant coach. The University is located 35 miles southwest of Chicago and serves close to 4,000 students nationwide, offering undergraduate, graduate, doctoral and certificate programs in the arts and sciences, business, education, nursing, and social work.
Job description: A dynamic, competitive, and motivated individual, the graduate assistant soccer coach works under the supervision of the head men’s soccer coach. The successful candidate will be responsible for assisting in the comprehensive day-to-day operations of the collegiate soccer program. Candidates are required to excel in communication skills, punctuality and ability to work in a fast-paced environment. Hours vary, but do include weekends, holidays, and evenings. The graduate assistant will be required to run all aspects of the reserve program, which includes but is not limited to practices, game day travel, game management, recruiting and management of current student-athletes. The graduate assistant will also be required to assist the head coach with all aspects of running the varsity team, which will include but is not limited to practices, games, recruiting, video analysis and day-to-day management of the student-athletes.
Bachelor’s degree and acceptance into USF’s master’s program with the exception of the Albuquerque, NM campus.
Experience playing at the collegiate level.
Coaching experience at the club, high school or collegiate level.
USSF, USC coaching qualifications
Goalkeeper coaching experience
Experience with recruiting
Experience with film breakdown and analysis
All candidates must successfully pass a background check and must hold a current US driver’s license.
