Director External Engagement - Special Events. This position will be responsible for coordinating and facilitating the majority of special events including but not limited to full staff functions, donor receptions, football recruiting receptions, golf tournaments and individual sport banquets and reunions; assist in the coordination and oversight of the annual Tiger Takeover Tours; assist with donor related football and men's basketball premium seating game day operational duties; assist in the production, design and marketing of all publication pieces; coordinate and maintain development staff stewardship benefits; assist in the coordination of the allocution of donor related benefits to include the annual fund, premium seating, football and men's basketball booster club; provide exceptional customer service via in person visits, phone and email; facilitate and coordinate annual student-athlete 'Thank-A-Thon"; communicate with fans, alumni and donors regarding donations, parking, ticketing, TSF priority point system, TSF club levels and matching gifts; assist with mailings, solicitations and audits; implement strategic goals with vendors, venue management and approves event programming ensuring compliance with University and state and NCAA policies and procedures; develops event budgets, preparing related cost estimates and cost benefit analysis; promote the philosophy and objectives of the Department of Intercollegiate Athletics to include adhering to all departmental policies and procedures as well as the rules and regulations of the University, the SEC and NCAA. A Bachelor's degree or an equivalent combination of education and experience from which comparable knowledge and abilities can be acquired is necessary. One year of experience in development, public relations, marketing or related area is necessary. Must have a valid driver's license with a good driving record and be insurable. Master's degree and knowledge of NCAA regulations and guidelines is preferred.
