Union College, a highly selective liberal arts institution located in Schenectady, New York is accepting applications for the position of full time Assistant Athletic Trainer. Union College sponsors 26 intercollegiate sports, 24 in Division III within the Liberty League, with Ice Hockey competing in Division I ECAC Hockey.
Assist in all aspects of athletic training including but not limited to the care, prevention, evaluation, treatment and rehabilitation of athletic injuries. Individual must have computer skills and an understanding of electronic medical record keeping. Candidate must be able to communicate and work as a member of a team. Candidate must assist in the daily operations of the athletic training room and assist with the supervision of work study students.
Bachelor’s degree required master’s degree preferred. NATA certified and in good standing with the Board of Certification. Must be licensed or eligible for licensing in the state New York. Current First Aid, CPR and AED certifications. Candidate must be willing to work evenings, weekends and holidays. This position does require travel. Candidate must be able to work collaboratively and effectively with a diverse group of individuals.
