To assist the Director of Varsity Athletics Communications and two Assistant Directors in publicizing Dartmouth’s broad-based program of 35 varsity sports through publications, web sites, media relations, videos, social media, and record-keeping. To provide practical experience in the sports information field to enable the intern to pursue a full-time career in the profession upon completing the internship.
* Strong verbal communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills. * Proficient in Genius, Stat Crew, Photoshop, Microsoft Word, HTML, InDesign. * Writing experience with emphasis on Associated Press style. * Availability to work nights and weekends. * Commitment to diversity and to serving the needs of a diverse population. * Previous experience working in a college sports information office.
* Newspaper writing experience preferred. * Video editing and graphic design experience a plus. * Bachelor’s degree in sports information, sports management, English, journalism, or a related field preferred
