Bethany College invites applications for the position of Graduate Intern in Athletics. Located near the West Virginia/Western Pennsylvania border, Bethany College offers its 600 full time undergraduate students a holistic and transformative learning experience and an opportunity to find a richness of life that often is not possible in other settings.
General duties will include recruiting, academic mentoring, scouting, assisting in planning of practice, individual workouts, fundraising and assistance with the strength and conditioning program. Additional duties will be assigned by each Head Coach or the Director of Athletics.
Qualifications include a Bachelor's degree, playing experience at the collegiate level or previous coaching experience and a valid driver's license.
Knowledge of and adherence to Bethany, NCAA Division III, and Presidents' Athletic Conference rules and regulations are also required.
The Graduate Intern is responsible to perform an average of 20 hours of service per week during the semester for a total of 300 hours per semester. Position provides 100% tuition credit for full-time enrolled students up to eighteen (18) credits for the 21-22 academic year. Housing and a meal plan is included while school is in session. A modest monetary stipend is also awarded.
Applicants must be a current or prospective graduate student at Bethany College (need to be accepted into Master's program to accept job). Enrollment in Master’s in Education Degree is required.
Outstanding interpersonal and organizational skills also required. Strong record of academic achievement as an undergraduate student and campus involvement is required.
Satisfactory undergraduate student conduct record also required.
