RESPONSIBILITIES: The Director of Strength and Conditioning is responsible for all aspects of the strength and conditioning program for all 1`5intercollegiate sports. Responsibilities include, but are not limited to: -Plan a comprehensive strength and conditioning program designed to meet student athlete’s needs. -Design strength and conditioning programs in consultation with coaching and training staff for all student-athletes. -Coordinate with athletic training staff to ensure proper injury rehabilitation protocols. Work with athletic training staff on injury prevention programs for all 13 intercollegiate sports. -Communicate with coaches to address team needs and to schedule training sessions. -Supervision and evaluation of graduate assistant, intern and volunteer strength and conditioning coaches. -Responsible for oversight and maintenance of student fitness center. -Responsible for oversight of budget, staff, and administrative processes related to the strength and conditioning program. -Continued professional development to provide student-athletes the best opportunity to succeed. -Monitor individual and team progress -Involvement in team practices and travel as requested -Meet with prospective student-athletes during recruiting visits to provide insight into the strength and conditioning program. -Assist with sport camps and clinics as needed. -Oversight of 3 graduate assistants.
QUALIFICATIONS: Master’s Degree in Exercise Science or related field; CSCS Certified; First Aid/CPR
Certified. Minimum of three years experience as strength and conditioning coach at the college level;
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS: Strong organizational and communication skills; CSCS Certified, USAW Certified.
