Wentworth Institute of Technology is seeking qualified applicants for the position of part-time Assistant Men’s Lacrosse Coach for the 2021-2022 season and beyond. This position reports directly to the Head Men’s Lacrosse Coach and is responsible to perform duties in accordance with University, NCAA and Conference rules, regulations and policies. Wentworth competes in the Commonwealth Coast Conference and is situated in Boston, Massachusetts.
Practices are in the evening, between 6 & 9pm. Home games are typically held at 7pm. Mix of afternoon and evening start times on the road.
Duties & Responsibilities •Instruct & develop student athletes •Assist in making strategic decisions •Practice planning & implementation •Film breakdown & analysis •General program operations •Attendance at all practices, scrimmages, and games •Ability to recruit & scout off-campus •Perform other duties assigned by the Head Coach •Respect & maintain confidentiality, parameters of operations, protocols, and individual privacy
Previous collegiate coaching and/or playing experience required
Strong interpersonal and communication skills needed to develop & maintain positive, respectful relationships with student-athletes
Excellent organizational skills
Ability to travel
Strong attention to detail
Knowledge or NCAA rules and regulations
