University Advancement is the fundraising and friend-raising arm of the University. The office’s activities are designed to generate support, both financial and otherwise. The University seeks an experienced and highly motivated individual for the position of Director of the Bulldog Club. Reporting to the Vice President for Advancement, this person is responsible for helping to develop a philanthropic culture, with a specific focus on athletics, through portfolio management, memberships and implementing industry best practices.
•As part of a goal oriented and highly motivated team, the Director will implement and manage short- and long-range fundraising strategies and goals to engage alumni, parents, faculty/staff, students and friends of the University.
o Direct and execute day-to-day strategy and operations for the Bulldog Club
o Effectively manage a portfolio of donors and prospective donors that have an affinity for athletic programs. Goals will be set relating to number of personal contacts, number of proposals, and other similar fundraising metrics.
•Oversee the planning, organization and oversight of special events, including home and away game receptions, and other fundraising activities.
•Provide leadership for the Bulldog Club volunteer board.
•Manage the distribution of all Bulldog Club merchandise and benefits including oversight of the season ticket process for Bulldog Club members.
•Must be available to work at home sporting events. May be required to attend select away contests.
•Ensure quality stewardship and communication for all levels of giving.
•Represent the University positively and professionally as a public ambassador.
•Support the mission and goals of the University across all programs and departments.
•Maintain accountability to administrative systems and procedures (including, but not limited to, expense reports and vehicle requests) by the deadlines assigned.
•Participate actively in staff meetings, retreats and other meetings when requested.
•Plan, track and report on individual and departmental work in support of organizational coordination and synergy.
•Travel, including overnight travel, will be required.
•Other duties as assigned by the Vice President for Advancement or the President.
Education and Experience:
Bachelor’s Degree is required
At least two years of full-time professional experience working in Advancement or a similar profession. Athletics experience is a plus.
Experience working in a metrics-driven environment and meeting quantitative goals.
An understanding of the culture, nature, and purpose of advancement activities. Preference for familiarity with advancement in higher education/athletics setting.

Exemplary oral and written communications skills
The ability to coordinate and balance multiple tasks and priorities
Strong organizational skills with a focus for detail
