Army West Point Athletic Association (AWPAA) seeks candidates for the Defensive Recruiting & Operations Coordinator role with the Football staff. The Coordinator will provide recruiting support in order to effectively promote Army West Point Football while upholding standards of excellence. This role reports directly to the Director of Recruiting.
Primary Duties and Responsibilities:
35% Recruiting Operations: Assists the Director of Recruiting to ensure the recruiting program meets excellence standards established by the Head Football Coach, provides support with the execution of official and unofficial visits throughout the year, handles the logistics for all prospects and parents to include flights and ground transportation, assists with all pre and post visit communication, provides assistance with budget management, compliance documentation, and facility maintenance as needed.
25% Technology Support: Oversees the ARMS Recruiting System Database, helps implement an efficient evaluation system for a large, nationwide pool to identify qualified prospects, monitor recruiting resources to identify talent, maintain accurate recruiting board information, oversee the sideline and press box communication system implementation and maintenance.
20% Administrative Support: Ensures all logistical recruitment needs of assigned coaches are effectively met, affirms all academic and athletic data is accurately logged in to the appropriate recruiting software in a timely manner.
15% Special Events: Assists the executive assistant with the logistics, communication and coordination of all pertinent Academy functions, liaise with other Academy and departmental entities to ensure smooth execution of events, provide assistance to the Director of Football Operations with player and staff travel arrangements for certain occasions (i.e. Bowl Game).
5% All other duties as assigned.
Bachelor's degree required
At least 1 year of experience in working with an intercollegiate athletics department, professional sports organization, and/or other elite sporting institution.
Experience with recruiting software, preferably ARMS.
Functional knowledge of social media platforms, specifically Twitter and Instagram.
Working knowledge of Microsoft Office
