The ASUN Conference is accepting applications for two internship positions; Digital Content Assistant & Media Relations Assistant. The 12-month temporary position will begin no later than August 1. Total 12-month stipend is 24,000.

Digital Content Primary Duties - Assist in marketing and promoting the ASUN and its student-athletes through video features and graphics - Assist in writing, editing, and coordinating the production of social media strategies and posts. - Prepare photo and video packages that are in sync with social media efforts that produce online traffic and fan engagement - Collaborate with Director of Social Media to develop original content for ASUN social media platforms - Work with staff in other areas to provide attractive and informative campaigns for the department as a whole - Edit and produce weekly videos and all-conference videos - Assist Strategic Communications Department with game coverage - Research and identify possible stories and other exposure opportunities for student-athletes - Create post-production content (promo pieces, highlight videos, player profiles) - Conduct on-camera interviews with student-athletes and coaches - Create, analyze and explain relevant analytics reports - Build strong working relationships with program faculty, staff and outside contacts
Media Relations Primary Duties - Assist in all aspects of media relations, with a strong emphasis on social media coverage and website assistance/updates - Serve as the primary media contact for select sports - Create content and assist in managing of ASUN social media accounts - Create original content for ASUN properties, written and video segments - Travel to and provide on-site media support for certain ASUN Championships - Compile necessary materials for and design certain conference documents/projects - Update the ASUN Record Book at the conclusion of championships for assigned sports - Serve as liaison with NCAA Statistical Staff for assigned sports - Other duties as assigned
Digital Content Qualifications - Bachelor’s degree required; background in graphic design, video editing and broadcast strongly desired - Must be able to work on numerous projects at one time and work on tight deadlines to get video on the website and social media in a timely manner - Demonstrated expertise in written and oral communication - Must be goal- and task-oriented and possess excellent organization skills - Knowledge of storytelling - Experience with editing programs (i.e. Edius, Final Cut Pro, Adobe Creative Suite or similar program) is a requirement. Experience working with graphics (Adobe Photoshop) and motion graphics (Adobe After Effects) is preferred. - A minimum of two years’ experience in athletic video production and marketing is required; preference will be given to candidates with collegiate sports experience - Weekend hours, evening work, and travel will be a significant component of the position. Flexible office hours and the opportunity for remote site working will be expected and accommodated
Media Relations Qualifications - Bachelor’s degree required/Master’s degree preferred; background in communications or journalism strongly desired - Fluency in Adobe Creative Suite and StatCrew/NCAA Live Stats software preferred - Experience with website maintenance operations - Experience in media relations or demonstration of required skills in a comparable field - Broad knowledge of sports sponsored by the ASUN - Strong writing and computer skills - Ability to work independently and efficiently on a variety of time-sensitive projects
