Bachelor's degree from an accredited four-year institution or equivalent combination of education and experience.
Minimum of two years of coaching swimming at D-I, D-II or JC level.
Demonstrated leadership ability and successful coaching experience.
Ability to effectively communicate through oral, written and electronic forms.
Experience in program planning and teaching.
Requires sound player/team management skills.
Ability to teach sound fundamentals of the sport.
Ability to recruit highly successful student athletes.
Thorough knowledge of NCAA rules, policies, Constitution and Bylaws.
Understanding of the role of intercollegiate athletics within the overall academic mission of the University.
Excellent communication, organizational, teaching, interpersonal and supervisory skills are essential in the event areas of men's and women's swimming.
Strong motivation skills.
Ability to work cooperatively with coaches, staff, faculty, students, and members of the community.
Commitment to academic integrity and compliance with University, conference and NCAA regulations.
Demonstrated ability to work effectively with individuals from diverse ethnic, cultural and socio-economic backgrounds and project a professional attitude.
Ability and willingness to support the equity and diversity commitments of the department.?
