George Mason University Intercollegiate Athletics, a member of the Atlantic 10 Conference, is seeking applicants for the position of Assistant Coach, Men’s Soccer. This is a full-time, 12-month position. Coaching and administrative duties as directed by the Head Coach;
Academic monitoring of athletes;
Instructing players in techniques of soccer.
Must have an Advanced degree or training and work experience at a level that equates to an Advanced degree;
Substantial demonstrated experience coaching, assisting or managing a soccer program at the collegiate level or at a Major League Soccer development academy;
Must currently possess an appropriate, active, valid motor vehicle operator’s license that meets all of GMU’s requirements for operating state vehicles and equipment under Mason’s Vehicle Use Policy 1411 https://universitypolicy.gmu.edu/policies/vehicle-use/. The Office of Risk Management reserves the right to review the driver’s licenses and Motor Vehicle Reports (MVRs) of all candidates selected with employment contingent upon a favorable review.
United States Soccer, National Soccer Coaches Association of America (NSCAA), or comparable coaching certificate highly preferred.
