Responsible for providing support to the Head Coach in the areas of on-court coaching; assist with practice and game preparation; video assignments; academic oversight; liaison to housing; CARA logs; fund raising and recruitment of prospective student-athletes. Work schedule varies beyond the regular office hours of 8 am to 5 pm Monday through Friday. Practice times are often scheduled after or continue beyond 5 pm. Games are routinely held after 5 pm and/or on weekends. Recruiting calls often occur after 5 pm on weeknights. Official and unofficial recruiting visits occur on weekends.
Travel is required in the performance of this position.
Five years of experience as a head coach or assistant coach at a NCAA Division I university; or, five years of experience as a head coach at an NAIA university, junior college, or high school. Extensive playing experience at the collegiate level can be substituted for the coaching experience.
