Saint Anselm College seeks applicants for a full-time, 10-month (August 2nd through June 3rd), entry level position. This individual will report to the Associate Athletic Director who oversees game management, event operations, and home athletic contests. This individual will also oversee the College’s recreational and intramural programs and assist with day-to-day operations of all aspects of the athletic department in order to help fulfill College objectives.
Primary Responsibilities and Position Accountabilities: •Coordinate and oversee comprehensive event setup and breakdown for selected on-campus varsity athletic events, recreational sports and intramural activities. •Provide assistance as directed with game operations duties such as parking, locker room assignments, ticket staff, ushers, officials, and security. •Serve as on-site facilities coordinator for selected outside user events. •Coordinate ticket sales for all home athletic events (including conference and NCAA championships). •Assist with scheduling student workers and staff for all home athletic events—including ticket staff, ushers, concessions, security, etc. •Serve as primary game manager and/or primary athletic administrator at home athletic events as directed by Associate A.D. •Prepare game scripts and oversee in-game promotional activities for home events. •Responsible for cash handling/deposits for concessions and ticket sales under direction of athletics business manager. •Serve as primary resource for registration and scheduling of intramural sport leagues and teams. •Supervise student staff and intramural contest officials. •Coordination and maintenance of intramural and recreational facilities with the Associate A.D. who oversees athletic facilities. •Conduct monthly safety inspections noting and prioritizing deficiencies requiring correction. •Liaison to campus activities to ensure fluid communication regarding intramurals, clubs and recreational sports. •Coordinate on-campus student promotional activities which engage and increase student involvement in recreational sports, intramurals, and overall health/wellness initiatives. •Other duties as assigned. •Evenings, weekends and administrative travel may be required.
Bachelor’s degree required. Experience working in a college athletics department or academic setting preferred. Excellence with interpersonal communications (written and oral) skills and the ability to work in a fast-paced team environment is necessary. Ideal candidate will have excellent leadership and mentoring skills. Must be comfortable working in a flexible, team environment with a positive attitude and sense of humor. Certifications or other qualifications required for this position include:
Valid driver’s license and acceptable driving record
NCAA compliance background check
Successful completion of first aid, CPR and AED certifications
