Colorado Rapids Youth Soccer Club (CRYSC) is recruiting for a full-time Head Coach within their Boys and Girls Elite Club National League teams for the coming season 2021/22.
As a club of over 10,000 players, the 'Elite Program' holds a special significance in that it is a flagship for recognizing the journey of development that our players go on as they progress through the club.
CRYSC is looking to move towards the creation of multiple full Time positions in the program where the employee will coach two ECNL teams, as well as be significantly invested in the talent identification and development process throughout key club projects.
Having a dedicated role for these teams is a departure from previous methods and one we are excited to pursue that we believe will provide a level of quality service to the members in that program, elevating them and the club to the highest level of player development.
This position will involve the creation and addition of layers to a service that elevates the experience of an elite player to a place where there is a professional and relentless pursuit of excellence. This is fundamental to both the environment created when in contact with players and in the work done away from the field preparing and reflecting on progress.
Work to create an environment where every player within your team feels valued, irrespective of their performance level within the elite team.
Work to support the development and enjoyment of your players in an innovative and structured manner in line with the values and philosophical statement of player development that the club represents.
Use the data and analytics from preseason and postseason surveys along with the performance management system during the season to support each player’s development.
Exemplify a high standard of communication, evaluation, training, game, and tournament expectations for the elite program and its supporting programs such as Elite Development Squads and Rapids Training Centers.
The overarching responsibility of this position will be:
The delivery of a minimum of 2 elite teams from within the clubs Elite Club National League (ECNL) platform
The delivery of appropriate age group related activity within the Rapids Training Center program as instructed by the program owner (Director of Player and Coach Recruitment).
Support the Head Coach of the corresponding age group Elite Development Squad (EDS) with presence and engagement in all aspects of their activity:
Player recruitment Training Program Games and Playing Schedule Player Movement Communication with member families Other such duties in support of the EDS team(s)
Lead the individualization of player development within the team(s) they are responsible for.
Individual player development plan and key components
Technical development program
Strength and Conditioning program
Mental Performance program
Position specific analysis and evaluation
Update and input on Performance Management system (Apollo)
Player recruitment and identification of corresponding age groups
Work with Director of Player and Coach Recruitment on identification of internal and external talent within specific relevant age groups
Actively engaged with the recruitment and retention process Reporting directly to the corresponding Elite Program Director
Support the Elite Program Director with administration tasks related to elite programming as and when required

Minimum of USSF B-Licence of equivalent / Working towards USSF A-Licence or equivalent
Experience in Performance Analysis and Evaluation
Experience in Player Identification
Experience of working within an elite player development framework and knowledge of its key components;
Willingness to adapt to the approach of the club and be consistent in application;
Worked or played within a team environment at levels below that of elite player development;
Further desire to pursue coach education and informal learning opportunities;
A highly organized and reliable person with strong communication abilities;
Passion for working with young children;
