University of Arkansas at Monticello Athletic Department Head Golf Coach
The University of Arkansas at Monticello (www.uamont.edu) is seeking applicants for the position of Head Men’s and Women’s Golf Coach. This is a full-time, non-tenure appointment.
Responsibilities: The responsibilities include implementation and management of all phases of a competitive NCAA Division II Golf program in accordance with NCAA, Great American Conference, and University regulations including on-course coaching, recruiting, scheduling, traveling, managing budget, supervising student-athletes, fund-raising, promoting and monitoring academic progress of student athletes, and part-time teaching in the area of health and physical education. Other duties may be assigned by the Director of Athletics. Physical education class instruction is an expectation in a variety of traditional classes.
Qualifications: Baccalaureate degree is required, a master’s degree is preferred. Coaching experience, knowledge of NCAA rules, commitment to the academic success of student athletes, and the ability to organize and motivate student athletes to maximum performance level. The ability to work, communicate, and develop rapport with students, faculty, administration, alumni, community groups, and media required.
Salary: Commensurate with qualifications and experience including excellent fringe benefits.
