The Assistant Head Women's Soccer Coach is responsible for providing goalkeeper as well as field player coaching and administrative assistance to the Head Coach. This position is fully responsible for film and in-game review as well as scouting reports.
The Assistant Coach is responsible for promoting the philosophy and objectives of the Intercollegiate Athletics Department, including adherence to all department policies and procedures, as well as the rules and regulations of the University of Oregon, Pac-12 Conference, and the NCAA.
Minimum Requirements • Bachelor’s degree • Three years of collegiate soccer coaching experience. • Four years of collegiate playing experience. • Experience working with Division I collegiate goalkeeper soccer student-athletes. • Experience coaching NWSL or equivalent professional goalkeepers. • United States Soccer Federation or National Soccer Coaches Association of America license
Professional Competencies • Ability to use Sportscode/HUDL video analysis software. • Excellent written, interpersonal, and oral communication skills. • The ability to work effectively with faculty, staff, and students from a variety of diverse backgrounds and a demonstrated dedication to the full academic and social development of student-athletes. • Knowledge of NCAA rules and interpretations and ability to successfully pass the annual NCAA Recruiting exam.
Preferred Qualifications • Affiliation with Division I, highly successful elite women’s soccer program(s). • Proven significant skill development of student-athletes both individually and collectively. • Olympic Youth Development coaching experience. • Experience coaching USYNT Goalkeepers. • Experience coaching youth club teams. • Experience with InStat or similar video analysis service. • Full understanding of goalkeeper specific GPS/Heart rate data. • Full understanding of providing a quality student-athlete experience.
