Newberry College invites applications for the position of Head Women’s Golf Coach. Newberry College is a private college in Newberry, SC, competes in Division II of the NCAA, and is a member of the South Atlantic Conference (SAC). Responsibilities of the position include full time management and oversight of the women’s golf program, including but not limited to recruiting, scheduling, budgeting, organizing practices, fundraising, monitoring, and ensuring academic success, general administrative duties, and mentoring and coaching in all aspects of the competitive skills required for tournament golf. Responsibilities also include adherence to NCAA, SAC and Newberry College rules, as well as enthusiastic pursuit of the philosophy, goals and mission of Newberry College and its intercollegiate athletics program. The successful candidate will work closely with the Director of Golf in an effort to build an academically successful and annually competitive women’s golf program.
Qualifications for this position include: bachelor's degree required, Master's degree preferred; one to three years of intercollegiate golf coaching experience preferred.
