The NAAA is seeking to hire a skilled and versatile Assistant Women’s Basketball Coach who will be responsible for assisting the Women’s Basketball Head Coach in leading a successful women’s basketball program at the United States Naval Academy. The Assistant Coach/Director of Operations and Recruiting is responsible for the oversight of a variety of administrative tasks associated with the efficient operation of a Division I women’s basketball program. The scope of responsibility will include these essential duties but is not limited to the following:
•Will provide support to the Head Coach of the Women’s Basketball Team in managing all aspects of coaching, eligibility, recruitment, retention, budget, scheduling, and academic monitoring
•Will be responsible for recruiting and retaining qualified student-athletes, planning of team practice, and on the court development of student-athletes
•Will be responsible for overseeing and coordinating team travel, scheduling of practices; facilities, official visits, recruiting records, alumni events, ticket requests, housing, operating budgets.
• Ideal candidate will have extensive experience in video operations; they will be proficient in working with various media/scouting platforms to develop a system for all video needs to include scouting/practice presentations • Ideal candidate will also need to be highly proficient in Adobe Photoshop and all social media platforms • Will Assist the Head Coach in fundraising for the women’s basketball program • Work in concert with the Naval Academy community and the Athletic Department staff • Perform other professional duties as assigned by the Head Coach • Provide supervision to team managers
