The Assistant Director of Equipment will co-manage the operation of the Petersen Sports Complex equipment and laundry room for Olympic Sports. The position is responsible for the use, security, and maintenance of equipment, apparel and shoes according to established departmental policies and procedures and within safety standards set by the NCAA, AEMA, and the Department of Risk Management. Responsible for issuing and retrieving equipment and apparel, assisting with laundry operations, inspecting incoming supplies and equipment; establishing an ongoing equipment inventory system assisting with budget development and management, processing orders, assisting with laundry operations, supervising student assistants, packing for away competition, assisting in the maintenance and repair of clothes and related team equipment; attending professional meetings to increase professional knowledge; and other duties as assigned. Position may travel with team(s). Bachelor’s degree required. Must have knowledge of types and uses of athletic equipment and 1 to 3 years experience in the operation of an equipment room.
