The University of the Incarnate Word in San Antonio, TX is currently recruiting for an Assistant Director for Development & Partnerships to join the Athletics Department. Reporting to the Deputy Athletic Director, the Assistant Director for Development & Partnerships is primarily responsible for the production and management of corporate sponsorships forUIWAthletics. This position will research, cultivate, solicit, steward, and retain sponsors in order to grow the revenue streams that support 23UIWsports programs. Additionally, this position will manage the athletics development staff.

JOB DUTIES Manage sales and client services for corporate partnerships withUIWAthletics. Identify potential sponsors through networking with stakeholders and researching local companies. Sell sponsorship inventory including signage, digital assets, print advertisements, in-game promotions, and hospitality access. Manage the sales process from start to finish (build sales presentations, draft proposals, negotiate contracts). Develop strong relationships with corporate partners and fulfill benefits per contracts. Manage a Development Assistant whose role is to orchestrate the annual giving program forUIWAthletics. Oversee a year-long fundraising calendar, sport-specific fundraising events, the donor relations program, gameday hospitality, and other stewardship activities. Manage graduate assistants and student workers. Perform other duties as assigned.
REQUIREMENTS Bachelor's Degree and Previous sales or fundraising in higher education or sports and entertainment industry. Must have a valid Texas driver's license within 60 days of employment and be insurable with UIW's insurance carrier.
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS & ABILITIES Demonstrated experience in sales or philanthropy. Must have high-level interpersonal skills and tact to handle confidential situations and sensitive information. Excellent communication, presentation, listening, and customer service skills. Ability to work independently and coordinate multiple tasks. Self-starter with an outstanding work ethic. Proficient in Microsoft Office, Excel, Word, and PowerPoint. Ability to work effectively with individuals from diverse communities and cultures.
