This position will organize and administer all aspects of the sport or sports activities including supervision, teaching, and implementing skills and strategies, recruiting, budget development, scheduling, purchasing, facility maintenance, public relations, community outreach, and implementation of NCAA and policies and regulations. The coach is responsible for providing a secure, hospitable recreational environment as it relates to athletic facilities. The successful candidate will have strong personal, organizational and management skills and must possess the ability to relate effectively to students, staff, athletes, the University community, general public, the media, parents, opponents, and high school coaches. The ability to work diverse and long hours including but not limited to evenings, weekends, team travel, recruiting, and scouting is needed.
