Primary Purpose: Act as a key member of the management team to oversee all aspects of the Squash Club. Achieve growth in Squash membership and drive engagement with participants ranging from entry-level to elite competitors and adults.
Set the overall vision and mission of the Squash Club in collaboration with the Athletic Director.
Create a dynamic and inclusive environment where the professional staff is engaged, energized, and involved in all programs.
Continuously evaluate programming and manage profitability of all programs to maximize revenue.
Create a Club culture where members feel welcomed and part of the community no matter their level.
Hire, train, and mentor an exceptional professional instruction staff.
Identify, recruit, and hire a staff of qualified squash professionals that can work with juniors and adults of all abilities.
Schedule all staff to ensure appropriate coverage and efficient usage of courts.
Develop a career path and progression plan to retain the professional staff and developing benchmarks and instructional clinics to motivate and enhance continued learning.
Develop and implement junior and adult programs for all abilities. Develop a progression plan for long term athlete participation and development.
Establish a wide base of participants, especially at the entry-level, with the junior program.
Establish great member engagement and adult participation, in both singles and doubles – including progressive tournaments and box leagues.
Establish competencies at each level to help define athletes' progress.
Teach private, junior, and adult lessons/classes as needed.
Build our membership base through actively connecting with the Squash community, companies, and schools in the area.
Engage with existing members for retention and upgrades from Squash Youths and Club Family memberships.
Work with Sales Director to organize social events to build loyalty in existing members and generate new sales.
Work with the Athletic Director to continually improve of the quality the member experience, maintain a first-class facility, and meet/exceed business financial goals.
Assist with marketing and communications regarding membership and Adult/Youth programing as needed.
Significant, relevant sports business and coaching experience.
Passion for squash with an in-depth knowledge of the local, regional, and national squash industry.
Leadership and management experience in a collaborative environment with the ability to motivate others.
Adaptable and flexible with a high degree of initiative and ability to handle multiple priorities.
Ability to analyze and interpret financial data.
Excellent organizational, written, and verbal communication skills.
