The Atlantic 10 Conference is seeking applicants for Assistant Commissioner of Compliance and Student Services. The position reports directly to the Senior Associate Commissioner for Governance and is responsible for all aspects of the comprehensive compliance services provided to the Atlantic 10 membership, including, but not limited to the duties outlined below.
Specific Responsibilities: •Lead the league’s compliance operation, serve as the primary liaison to the Compliance Standing Committee and plan/conduct conference calls and meetings (virtual or in-person) accordingly. Maintain policies and procedures for all compliance-related conference services, development and maintain internal and external compliance resource website(s). •Management of all legislative and compliance-related issues; oProvide support on enforcement, reinstatement, APR and waiver-related issues, and perform compliance reviews and audits as requested; oReview, research and provide written responses to all membership requests for interpretations of NCAA and/or A-10 rules and regulations; oMonitor and educate on the membership on legislative activity and facilitate the conference balloting process •Preparation of rules education resources and providing educational services to the membership or specific A-10 governance groups; •Waiver Administration. Review and process NCAA and A-10 waivers (e.g., hardship, medical absence, incidental expense). •NCAA Level III Violations. Monitor and evaluate NCAA Level III violation reports and create rules education or best practices resources when appropriate. •National Letter of Intent Program. Administer the National Letter of Intent program. •NCAA Coaches Certification Programs. Serve as the primary administrator for the annual coaches recruiting exam. •Serve as the primary conference liaison to the Student-Athlete Welfare Committee, secondary liaison to the Faculty Athletics Representatives and provide leadership and administrative oversight to the Student-Athlete Advisory Committee (SAAC). •Administer the conference’s student-athlete welfare matching grant program, as well as student-athlete award and postgraduate scholarship programs. •Olympic Sport Championship Oversight. Provide support or oversight for Olympic Sport Championship as assigned, inclusive of all associated sport committee, scheduling, officiating, budgeting and championship related responsibilities. •Legal Services. Maintain appropriate state-level certification to provide legal services to the conference office, if applicable.
Additionally, the successful candidate will participate in monthly CCACA conference calls and yearly in-person meeting, as well as perform other duties as assigned.

Requirements: Bachelor’s Degree (Master’s Preferred) with 6 - 8 years of experience in compliance and student services. The successful candidate will have excellent communication, problem-solving skills and the ability to work independently in a fast pace environment.
