The LSU Athletic Department is a member of the Southeastern Conference and the National Collegiate Athletic Association and must adhere to the rules and regulations of both these organizations as well as maintaining the integrity of the State of Louisiana and Louisiana State University. The Athletic Department operates with an annual budget in excess of $175 million. The Assistant Director of Ticket Operations is responsible for assisting with all aspects of the ticketing operations for LSU Athletics and manages all aspects of ticket operations to assigned sports.
50% Manage all aspects of ticket operations for men’s basketball and softball events hosted in LSU athletic facilities, including but not limited to: set up of renewal applications, new season sales, individual game sales, postseason distribution and game day box office operations.
15% Manage the student priority point system and all facets of student ticketing-purchasing, distributing away game tickets and allocating postseason tickets; Act as liaison for the Athletic Ticket Office with the Tiger Card Office, Student Advocacy and Accountability, and the Office of the University Registrar; Oversee the operations of the student entry gate during home football games and other student priority point events.
15% Monitor and respond to emails sent to firstname.lastname@example.org, the Ticket Office Facebook page, and the Ticket Office Twitter page; Assist with Geaux Mail email system and marketing automation campaigns.
5% Review customer or company ticket transfer and merging requests to assure compliance with the LSU Board of Supervisors Ticket Policy, and communicate with customers regarding compliance requirements, and approval or denial of request explaining policy and procedure; Request additional documentation if deemed necessary for compliance.
5% Investigate grievances and complaints from telephone call, walk-up window, email and mail. All routine problems are resolved by incumbent. Independently makes judgments to resolve complaints for conflicts, and involves the Director of Ticket Operations only on extremely complex issues.
5% Provide a variety of information general advice and interpretation of ticket office and athletic department policies and procedures to the public. Answer questions regarding office policies, procedures and services.
5% Other duties as assigned.
Bachelor's degree with two years experience in ticket office operations or other athletic administration capacity; Highly skilled with a computerized ticketing system.
Master's degree; Experience with Paciolan ticketing system; Ticket office experience at an NCAA FBS university.
Special or Physical Qualifications:
Ability to work extended days and weekends. Some travel required.
