The Senior Associate Athletic Director/Human Resources and Diversity, Equity and Inclusion provides oversight and leadership for diversity, equity, inclusion initiatives, human resources and a liaison to the Office of Civil Rights and Title IX, the Office of General Council and Student Conduct in LSU Athletics. Primary duties include: supporting practices to address diversity, equity, inclusion and opportunity; managing culture change to build and support initiatives; liaison with LSU system office of general counsel, the office of civil rights and title IX, student conduct; and supervision of sports programs.
35% Facilitates the development and implementation of a strategic plan, policies and procedures, programs and practices addressing diversity, equity, inclusion and opportunity; Serves as the catalyst to leverage best practices and resources in business models, recruiting, talent acquisition, education, training and development, and the diverse supplier program; Oversight all diversity and inclusion data collection and the development of effective measures to assess the quality and impact of diversity and inclusion programs and initiatives; Manages culture change to build and support initiatives; Creates a community of inclusion and support by working collaboratively with departmental leadership teams; Provides guidance for building and enhancing diversity and inclusion with key partners and stakeholders internally and externally.
30% Oversees all aspects of Human Resources for the LSU Athletic Department including significant input on culture shift, education and training and healthy workplace practices; Works collaboratively with the University's General Counsel Office on employment related matters; Works collaboratively with the Office of Civil Rights and Title IX to ensure consistent messaging, training and cooperation; Oversight of all student conduct matters.
30% Oversees and manages assigned sports programs; This includes overall management, financial review and control, personnel management, and facility management; Maintains and develops a qualified staff of coaches and establishes a working environment conducive to good coaching.; Evaluates coaches to insure University and NCAA standards are met concerning: teaching and motivating student-athletes, recruiting student-athletes, and fulfilling University responsibilities; Evaluates coaches to insure diversity and inclusion initiatives are supported and advanced through personal participation in educational and developmental opportunities, as well as the evaluation of all aspects of program operations with respect to diversity and inclusion. This includes, but is not limited to the purchases of goods and services with departmental resources, the recruitment and retention of students and staff members, and the creation and maintenance of an inclusive culture consistent with the values of LSU and its Athletics Department.

Bachelor's degree with seven years of senior level administrative experience; Prior experience in diversity and inclusion initiatives; Excellent verbal and written communication skills and strong interpersonal skills; Knowledge in the development of educational and training opportunities for professional and support staff as well as students.
Ph.D., or J.D.
