The Director of Strength and Conditioning is responsible for managing all aspects of performance programming for student-athletes in accordance with University, conference, and NCAA standards and regulations. This position will be accountable for all program design, implementation, and oversight for all 21 varsity sports. The individual must possess extensive knowledge in the field of Sports Performance, and the creative ability to design specific programs for each sport.
Assistant Strength and Conditioning Coach
NATURE AND SCOPE
The Director of Strength and Conditioning reports directly to the Director of Athletics, and must be able to work closely with the Sports Medicine Department staff and Team Physicians to develop to develop collaborative strategies for injury prevention, injury management, and other wellness initiatives.
Nutrition, speed, strength, and conditioning for all varsity student-athletes.
Evaluates student-athletes performance ability.
Directs all aspects of the sport-specific performance training for all NCAA teams.
Works with physicians and trainers to design return to performance for injured athletes.
Advises head sport coaches in the optimization of technical/tactical planning to improve performance and mitigate injury.
Collaborates with campus partners in the areas of mental well-being, nutrition, and overall health.
Weight Room Supervision.
Maintenance and Ordering of Supplies for the training facilities.
Communicating with Coaches and Administrators.
Written and oral communication skills.

Efficient time management skills.
Knowledge base must include proficiency in Olympic lifting techniques and coaching strategies, performance nutrition, SAQ (Speed, Agility, and Quickness) principles, flexibility/mobility training, balance training, plyometric training, and injury prevention strategies.
Bachelor’s Degree, collegiate experience. Master’s Degree and Division I experience preferred.
CSCS Certification or other comparable Certification
