JOB SUMMARY Dixie State University is seeking a dynamic, experienced individual with integrity and a history of success to assist our Men's Soccer program in the Western Athletic Conference and continue competing at the NCAA Division I level this fall, 2021. We seek an individual who is committed to developing the entire student-athlete, both on and off the field, maximizing each one's full potential. Additionally, we are seeking a coach who will embrace the Dixie State University and Athletic Department values by leading with professionalism, positivity, integrity, and passion, and the ability to inspire and mentor his or her staff and our student-athletes as we prepare them for a lifetime of impact.
DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES •Assist the Head Coach to provide leadership in the academic, personal, and athletic development of student-athletes at Dixie State University by directing and coordinating all activates of the Men's Soccer program, in the planning, organizing, and coaching of the NCAA Division I team. •Assist the Head Coach to monitor academic progress and general welfare/wellness of student-athletes. •Assist the Head Coach to initiate Men's Soccer team-specific fund-raising programs. Support fund raising responsibilities within the athletic department and be an active member of the Southern Utah community. •Assist the Head Coach with DSU's Men's Soccer Camps (additional compensation available). •Assist the Head Coach to purchase and maintain equipment and Inspect practice facilities and equipment regularly. •Assist the Head Coach to schedule and coordinate all Men's Soccer games through proper channels in the Athletic Department. •Guide and supervise student-athletes related to campus regulations. Coordinate medical coverage with Athletic Training staff. •Assist the Head Coach to provide reports and information concerning the Men's Soccer program as required. Provide information, results, and statistics to the Sports Information Director for press coverage, brochures, media guides and tournament schedules as needed. •Perform other duties as assigned.
Bachelor's Degree with collegiate playing experience at the NCAA, NAIA or NJCAA level required.
NCAA, NAIA or NJCAA coaching experience required. Youth Club Soccer experience should prove experience with the recruiting process.
Demonstrated success of recruiting students at the NCAA, NAIA or NJCAA level required.
Proven commitment to academic and athletic success.
Ability to represent the University in exercising good human relation skills in the community and state.
Proven ability to perform fund-raising for team and department needs.
Ability to exercise critical human relations skills in establishing and maintaining effective working relations with students, faculty, staff, and the public.
