POSITION SUMMARY: The University Athletic Association at the University of Florida is searching for (2) Assistant Coaches for the Men's & Women's Swimming & Diving program to provide direct and independent coaching of student-athletes who compete in Division I, NCAA Swimming & Diving for the University of Florida. These positions are responsible for promoting academic excellence as well as the assessment and recruitment of prospective student-athletes which includes creating individualized development plans for each student-athlete and contributing to overall meet plans. Other responsibilities include media relations, inventory and purchasing, facilitating team meetings, budget line-item management and other administrative duties as assigned. MINIMUM EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS:
Prior experience with collegiate/club swimming
Solid administrative, organizational, and communication skills
Advanced computer skills
Ability to engage effectively with others of diverse cultures or backgrounds
Ability to work a non-standard work week which will include early mornings, evenings, weekends, holidays and extensive overnight travel
Prior Division I coaching experience
Experience with recruiting and evaluating prospective student-athletes
Working knowledge of SEC and NCAA rules and regulations
