Executive, Executive - Associate Athletics Director
The Department of Athletics is seeking a highly motivated, organized and dedicated professional for the position of Sr. Associate Athletics Director for Compliance and Administration.

This full-time, twelve-month position is responsible for all processes, procedures and systems necessary to comply with NCAA and Missouri Valley Conference (MVC) rules and regulations for 15 NCAA Division I men’s and women’s intercollegiate sports, sixty staff members and 200+ student- athletes. In addition, this position serves as a primary contact with undergraduate admissions, financial aid and registrar’s offices. The position is part of the department’s executive and senior staff and, as such, the successful candidate must have the capacity to contribute to the overall operation and decision making of the department. In addition, this role must have working knowledge of the following:
Develop and direct a comprehensive program for educating, monitoring, reporting and complying with all NCAA, Conference, and University rules and regulations as they relate to intercollegiate athletics.
Research and report NCAA rules interpretations to University and Department staff
Communication with boosters and other outside constituents.
Act as liaison to the NCAA and conference.
Attend NCAA and conference compliance meetings and seminars as required
Attend periodic NCAA and conference teleconferences.
Track and report NCAA rules interpretations and proposals
Develop rapport with conference compliance personnel.
NCAA Eligibility Center
Act as liaison to the registrar and financial aid offices.
Student-Athlete initial eligibility
Assist with Incoming Transfers and Student-Athlete continuing eligibility
Review NCAA Squad list for compliance with NCAA
Assist with administration of summer, interim, and 5th-year aid
Work closely with the faculty athletics representative in certification of eligibility and rules compliance issues.
Assist with annual coach’s certification of compliance exam
Review NCAA legislation
NCAA self-report process.
Analyzes and recommends necessary changes to departmental policies and procedures including recommendations to increase overall effectiveness of the University compliance program.
This position may take on the role as a sport administrator as assigned by the Vice President for Intercollegiate Athletics
Serve on Department, University, Conference and NCAA committees as assigned
Other duties as assigned including tournament director, event/site coordinator and case-by-case assignments by the Vice President for Intercollegiate Athletics.
Duties beyond compliance will be expanded and evolve depending on the successful candidate’s skills and mastery of Bradley’s compliance operation. Occasional travel and event coverage may be necessary. Individual must also be able to work effectively with a culturally diverse community.
Bachelor’s degree required; minimum of two years of experience in NCAA compliance or equivalent desired, preferably at the NCAA Division I level; comprehensive understanding and knowledge of NCAA rules, regulations, processes, interpretations, appeals and governance structure desired; knowledge of NCAA technological processes such as CAi and LSDBi preferred; proven ability to relate well to coaches, student-athletes and other constituency groups required; excellent oral and written communication skills, ability to multitask and organizational abilities with high attention to detail required; creative problem solving skills required; ability to work as a member of a team required; through research skills required; proficiency in areas of initial, continuing, and transfer eligibility and financial aid preferred; proficiency in playing and practice seasons and recruiting preferred; strong interpersonal skills to interact effectively and tactfully with individuals at all levels required; a willingness to promote and uphold the mission and core values of Bradley Athletics required.
