Virginia Military Institute is accepting applications for a full-time Director of Athletic Multimedia. The candidate reports jointly to the Associate Athletic Director for Communications and the Associate Athletic Director for External Relations.
•Responsible for developing and producing video content for the Department of Intercollegiate Athletics, ESPN+ and select linear events for Southern Conference TV packages.
•Produce live video production for all home athletic events designated for ESPN+ as well as supervise all game day production crew.
•Further, the staff member will create highlight packages, conceptualize and develop features and produce other creative content for use throughout the Department of Intercollegiate Athletics.
•Serve as liaison to the Southern Conference for video and multimedia, coordinating and developing student and freelance help as well as producing video content for the department website (both promotional and advertisement inventory). •Orchestrate other external relations efforts, the development of content for use on all social media platforms and creation of appropriate strategy for expanding the VMI brand through video and sponsorships.
•Bachelor's degree in communications or related field as well as experience with Adobe Creative Suite Production Premium and familiarity with social media platforms and live event production.
