Head Women's Tennis Coach

The Johns Hopkins University, an NCAA Multi-Divisional member and participant in NCAA DIII and the Centennial Conference for women’s tennis, is accepting applications from qualified candidates for the Head Coach of the varsity women’s tennis team. This position is responsible for maintaining the integrity, academic profile, and success of the women’s tennis program, Department of Athletics and Recreation, and University. The head coach works closely with other coaches, the athletics administrative staff, and the broader university community to ensure the best experience possible for all student-athletes. The Head Women’s Tennis Coach roles and responsibilities include, but are not limited to: •Development of the tennis team; practice planning, training sessions, scheduling contests, monitoring budget, effectively communicating with all program stakeholders including student-athletes, staff, alumni, parents, and various campus departments. •Recruitment of prospective student-athletes that meet the academic profile of the University. •Compliance with all rules, regulations, policies, and procedures of the NCAA, Centennial Conference, and Johns Hopkins University. •Supervision and direction of a staff of part-time assistant coaches, team members, and managers. •In partnership with athletic development staff, establishment of fundraising priorities for the women’s tennis program; implementation of appropriate cultivation, solicitation, and stewardship strategies in accordance with department and institutional standards. •Proactive collaboration with all administrative areas of the department: finance, HR, development and alumni relations, athletic training, strength & conditioning, athletic communications, facilities, event management, equipment management, and compliance. •Facilitation of connection to campus resources for student-athletes. •Demonstration of leadership, sportsmanship, and ethical, mature conduct. •Maintenance of a fair and objective relationship with team members. •Other responsibilities as assigned.

Minimum Qualifications: Bachelor’s Degree with three years collegiate varsity coaching experience. Must have current and valid CPR/AED certifications.
