Position Summary New Jersey City University — a NCAA Division III institution located in Jersey City, N.J. — is a founding member of the highly-competitive New Jersey Athletic Conference (NJAC). NJCU, one of the fastest growing athletic departments in the nation, is looking to hire one Athletic Communications Graduate Assistant for the 2021-22 academic year, beginning in August 2021, renewable for a second term the following academic year. The successful candidate will possess a strong work ethic, enthusiasm and the goal of working in athletic communications or a related field in the long term. Essential Duties & Responsibilities Assist the director with all aspects the day-to-day operations of the athletic communications department. This includes, but is not limited to:
Qualifications
Education A Bachelor’s degree in communications, journalism, new media or other related fields is required. Schedule n addition to daytime office hours, the successful candidate must be willing to work a non-traditional schedule (nights, weekends and holidays). Compensation The position includes a generous annual stipend plus full tuition remission, as well as a membership with the College Sports Information Directors of America (CoSIDA). Professional development opportunities also exist.
