Essential Duties & Responsibilities
Assist the director with all aspects the day-to-day operations of the athletic communications department. This includes, but is not limited to:

• Production of multimedia/video content and written content for the website and social media.
• Day-to-day operation of all NJCU Gothic Knights main social channels.
• Production and design of all graphics, marketing materials, schedule posters, senior tributes, official game programs, other promotional materials and much more.
• Photography and videography.
• Production of all GothicVision broadcasts for NJCU home athletic events.
• Statistical coverage for NJCU’s home athletic events.
• Webmaster operations for www.NJCUGothicKnights.com.
• Developing and maintaining relationships with media members for public/media relations coverage.
• Supervision of athletic communications student staffers, interns, volunteers and more.
• Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

• Acceptance into a NJCU graduate program and maintenance of a 3.0 GPA.
• A working knowledge of Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Premiere, InDesign, Illustrator, etc.)
• Experience with statistical programs (NCAA Live Stats, PrestoStats, StatCrew)
• Experience with collegiate athletic website services (SIDEARM Sports, Presto, etc.)
• Expertise in Microsoft Office
• Excellent written and verbal communications skills.
• A working knowledge of AP Style sports writing.

Education
A Bachelor’s degree in communications, journalism, new media or other related fields is required.

Schedule
n addition to daytime office hours, the successful candidate must be willing to work a non-traditional schedule (nights, weekends and holidays).

Compensation
The position includes a generous annual stipend plus full tuition remission, as well as a membership with the College Sports Information Directors of America (CoSIDA). Professional development opportunities also exist.
