Athletic Trainer - Intern

| The Ohio State University Department of Athletics is seeking 8 Athletic Trainer Interns. The intern will work 40+ hours per week. May work nights and weekends based on the schedule of OSU athletic events. These positions have responsibilities assigned to specific sports and have an appointment term of 12 months beginning July 1, 2021 and ending June 30, 2022. Sport assignments may include: Softball, Gymnastics/Fencing, Aquatics, Men's Volleyball, Cheerleading, M/W Track and Field (2 openings) and Field Hockey. The Athletic Trainer Interns will work closely with full-time staff to provide comprehensive medical care. They will also assist with coordination and direction of students in ATEP. This is an entry level, career based internship and is intended for professional development of an applicant with only 6 to 24 months practical experience. These positions are focused on furthering knowledge and skills in the field of Athletic Training. Internship positions are appointed on an annual basis. These positions work in a creative and collaborative team environment where change is embraced and innovation is encouraged. Please specify sport interest in cover letter.

A Bachelor’s degree is required. Preferred candidates will have successful completion of BOC Certification Examination; have or be able to obtain a License to practice Athletic Training in the State of Ohio; possess Athletic Training experience with a variety of sports preferred.
