Graduate Assistant for Facilities and Event Management
Millersville University
Millersville University graduate assistants play an integral role in the Athletics Department. A graduate assistantship is available for Facilities and Event Management. The position is designed for two years of study, subject to satisfactory academic progress and maintaining a 3.0 GPA, at which point the student should have a completed master’s degree. Selected candidates will receive a first year stipend of $5000 ($5400 in second year) and up to 24 credits of tuition waiver. Graduate assistants also receive unparalleled experience in an outstanding Division II institution and gain valuable skills needed to apply for entry-level full-time positions upon completion of the two-year position. Responsibilities include assisting the Associate Director of Athletics in event planning and logistics for special events, game management, and facility management. In addition, assist with the fulfillment of corporate sponsorships and signage. Applicant hired into this position is required to apply and be accepted into a master’s degree program at Millersville University, and must be enrolled in a minimum of six graduate credits in the fall and spring semesters.
