The Assistant Athletic Director for Facilities Management serves as a member of the leadership team for the University of Chicago's athletic and recreational facilities. The position oversees the management and operation of all indoor and outdoor athletic facilities within the department, including the Ratner Athletics Center, Henry Crown Field House, Stagg Field Complex, and South Campus Field.

Manages and supervises athletic facilities staff members.

Oversees risk management; event management; security and controlled access; scheduling, facilities services, including acting as a liaison with facilities, grounds, and custodial services; equipment and vehicle maintenance; facilities preparations for all activities within the facilities; and equipment room management.

Acts as internal consultant and liaison with Facilities Services and Facilities Planning on all construction and maintenance projects. Leads strategic planning for this area of responsibility.

Seeks opportunities for professional development that will enhance job performance, including building networks within the University and with colleagues at peer institutions.

Manages the financial budget and fiscal control related to the athletic and recreational facilities including the generation and management of the revenue in this area. Advises on construction and maintenance projects.

Develops and administers facilities and employee policies and procedures. Performs other related work as needed.
