CenCal Cosmos is a fast growing, player centered and long term development focused soccer organization in the Central Valley of California.  Consisting of 400 competitive and 800 recreational players we are actively looking to hire an Assistant DOC to further our mission of providing an exceptional and accessible youth soccer experience.  The Assistant DOC will be responsible for either the Foundation (U8-U11) or Intermediate (U12-U15) age groups.  The ADOC will also act as Head Coach for 2 teams.

Reporting to the Director of Coaching (DOC), the Assistant Director of Coaching will direct and supervise the Club coaching staff within their specified age group.  The ADOC is responsible for meeting the Club’s overall objectives relative to player and team development within those age groups, and ensuring a cohesive progression into and out of the age group.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

• Recruit and assign qualified coaches/directors in consultation with the DOC
• Train and monitor coaches/directors and help them plan and implement training sessions in accordance with club curriculum and game/training model
• Provide guidance to coaches on match management and how to interact with parents and club officials. Resolve conflict according to Club Policy.
• Conduct age/position specific coaching clinics
• Create and implement a cohesive player development model for intermediate age groups.
• Design and administer a coaching education program in conjunction with DOC
• Develop and implement a standard coaching evaluation process
• Create, evaluate, and summarize game reports to track team progress over time
• Identify most talented players in club and alert State and Regional coaches for possible inclusion in State and Regional teams
• Oversee tournament selections to ensure proper team and player development
• Design and administer team tryouts
• Assist in the design of a parent education program
• Represent Club at functions, meetings, and events as directed by the DOC
• Expand club programming
• Coach two teams as assigned by DOC.

• General clerical duties related to efficient running of club
