Assistant Athletic Trainer

Assistant Athletic Trainer Medaille College is currently seeking a Full-time Assistant Athletic Trainer to provide athletic training services for the College’s athletic department, including attendance at scheduled team practices and home and away competition as necessary. The candidate must possess record keeping and documentation skills necessary to meet the requirements established for College, NCAA, and conference affiliations. Position requires a Bachelor’s degree in health related field. Must have NATABOC certification with the state accordance as well maintaining CPR and applicable certifications training. Preference will be given to candidates with a Master’s degree. Essential duties include implementing all prescribed treatments and recommendations by the team/program/event physician. Perform proper taping, strapping, bracing, and fitting of athletic equipment. Must possess the ability to assess data reflective of the athlete’s status and interpret the appropriate information. Evaluate and recommend new techniques and equipment that would enhance the benefit of the sports medical program, and other duties as assigned by the Head Athletic Trainer.
