Saint Leo volleyball has advanced to seven straight NCAA South Region Tournaments, and has captured two Sunshine State Conference Titles over the last decade in the highly competitive SSC. The team advanced to the Elite 8 in 2019.

The Volleyball Head Coach is the person responsible for administering all of the year-round activities of the volleyball. The Head Coach is responsible for administering all facets of the volleyball program relating to practice organization, game day management and preparation, player evaluation and recruiting of prospective student-athletes who can be successful in a collegiate environment. This individual supervises student-athletes in academic, as well as athletic endeavors throughout the year.The Head Coach is responsible for evaluating and determining priorities for the sport with regards to budget preparation, equipment purchases and scheduling. The Head Coach must demonstrate the ability to manage a designated budget through qualitative and quantitative analysis. The Head Coach must demonstrate concern for academic pursuits by adherence to department and University academic policies, as well as initiation of personal academic goals for each student-athlete. The Head Coach will select, train, evaluate, supervise and mentor assistant coaches. This requires the ability to delegate responsibility and manage those people in completing assigned tasks. The Head Coach must adhere to all policies and procedures of the University, Sunshine State Conference and NCAA.

This position has been over the indoor and beach program. The desired plan would be to keep this same organization. There are two full-time assistants, one for indoor and one for beach.

The position requires someone with initiative and an energy level that will enable the individual to work long hours. The position does include evening and weekend assignments. This is a full-time, non-teaching, 12-month position. A confidential review of candidates will begin immediately and continue until the position is filled.
